Understanding the trustedd Score
The trustedd Score is based on three key components: expert reviews, user reviews, and reviews from external databases. Each contributes equally to the final score.
- Expert Reviews: Experts on Trustedd review content within their area of expertise, adding substantial value to the scoring system. A user may be an expert in any given area if they have the necessary qualifications regardless of their overall user level. Users who frequently publish high-quality content and maintain a positive like/dislike ratio in their comments in a specific area can increase their voting weight while reviewing products and content about the same topic.
- User Reviews: All users can review content, but the impact of their scores varies. The system assigns users levels, from Beginner to Intermediate, and Professional. The higher the level, the greater the impact of their scores. The user level is determined by the user score, we will get to that in a second.
- External Database Reviews: Trustedd incorporates reviews from reliable external databases, providing an unbiased perspective to the score.
Calculation of User Score
Every user on trustedd has a User Score, which can be up to 5 points. It's determined by three categories:
- Obligatory: Users receive 1 point for completing their profile and verifying their information.
- Activity: Users earn points through active engagement on the platform. This includes actions like sharing content, commenting, logging in daily, and purchasing and reviewing products.
- Qualification: The remaining points are based on users' competence. If the user's comments have a high like/dislike ratio, and their content/products have a high average score, they earn more points.
Bonus: Users can also earn temporary Bonus Scores by reporting a bug, flagging inappropriate content, or suggesting a feature that gets implemented.
